William G. Tapply (1940-2009) was an American author who wrote primarily mystery novels. He published over 40 books during his career, including the popular "Brady Coyne" series about a Boston lawyer/detective. Tapply was also a well-respected outdoor writer and authored several books on fishing and hunting. He was a graduate of Harvard University and taught writing at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Tapply died in July 2009 after a battle with leukemia.
